LIFE DOESN'T ALWAYS GO ACCORDING TO PLAN!! Told you that you'd be shocked. Imagine that! This is the key ingredient missing in all of the financial "gurus" perfect financial gameplans. Believe it or not, sometimes we don't save, we spend too much, we lose jobs and we lose our shirts in the stock market. Occasionally we might even lend money to our underachieving kids who are trying to make it in the world. My point is, there is still a place for permanent life insurance in our portfolios. Read the following from LIFE Foundation:

http://www.lifehappens.org/blog/p,239/

It appears I was correct ... not everyone has saved for a rainy day or even for a sunny day in retirement. Had all these people been investing in a good, solid permanent life insurance policy (or annuity!) they'd have a decent little nest egg that was in zero danger of being evaporated by the guy next door who can't pay his mortgage! Let's face it, when we don't see the money and we know that it's protecting our family (especially when we're younger and have a mortgage/kids etc) we tend to just keep on paying that monthly premium. It just becomes part of our life. I'll agree with part of the pundits argument: it's not the be-all, end-all investment...but it's just what some of our clients need in an unpredictable world.
